Set up your amBX kit

Windows doesn't choose a driver for the amBX controller by itself, so you need to do this once. It uses the WinUSB driver that comes with Windows, and you don't need to download anything.

You need an administrator account on the PC.

  1. Connect the amBX controller by USB and power it on.
  2. Right-click Start and open Device Manager.
  3. Find amBX (TM) device controller. It may be under Other devices with a warning icon.
  4. Right-click it and choose Update driver.
  5. Choose Browse my computer for drivers.
  6. Choose Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
  7. Choose Universal Serial Bus devices, then Next.
  8. Under Manufacturer, choose WinUsb Device. Under Model, choose WinUsb Device, then Next.
  9. If Windows warns that the driver may not be compatible, choose Yes.
  10. Open amBX Revived and choose Check again.

If the app still can't open the controller

Close any other app that uses the kit, including older copies of this app in the notification area. Then choose Check again.

If it's still not working, check that Device Manager shows the kit as WinUsb Device, or contact us.

To undo this

In Device Manager, right-click the device, choose Uninstall device, and unplug the controller.
